Kingdom Woman Ministries Inc.
President/Founder: Valisha J. Kelly
Valisha J. Kelly is a native of Cumberland County which is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she is a product of the CCS public school system. Valisha was brought up in a christian home as well as a holiness denomination. H.B.C.O.G.(Holy Bible Church of God), which is a Holiness Association that has existed for more than sixty years. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she majored in Human Development Family Studies. Her transition began in the early 2000's as God redirected her path toward Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she continued to pursue her educational studies and coursework at the University of Phoenix with a concentration in Human Services Management.
Valisha has labored in Corporate America, as well as in the fields of Public Service, Education and non-profit community service/outreach. To fulfill God's Kingdom directive in ministry, and to operate as an advocate for youth, women and families, Valisha withheld nothing back from her mandate from God. She eagerly began to take her rightful position and became engaged in her local church; serving in and/or journeying through various capacities, which included worship arts ministry, youth ministry, MIT(Ministers in Training), teacher's training, evangelism, intercession and outreach. Valisha Kelly better known as "Ms.V" to some, has an earnest passion to see and contribute to the transformation, restoration, and renewal of individual and families' lives around the world. This enthusiasm and urgency for God, has led to the establishment of Kingdom Woman Ministries Inc(2009) as well as U.N.I.T.Y. of NC Inc(2004).-Community Center for Youth & Family Development: Initially operating as an organization providing services for youth and families through partnerships and other community endeavors, with high expectations of expansion. She has been trained and certified via private/public organizations in the areas of Mentoring the 100way, Allstars Curriculum, and Strengthening Families with some additional educational curriculums/programs.
Valisha states, "I often share my testimony informally and formally, encouraging men, women, youth and families, by way of mentoring, devotionals, blogging, speaking and singing, by being or what ever I am able to put my hands to as I am unctioned by God. I believe in sharing my life, not for pity, but as a testimony of how you can have a life of unpredictable interruptions, diversions and set backs. However, when you change your perception of LIFE, and Keep your focus on God, you will find that it is or was not a set back, but a set up for God to be glorified. God only wants to be glorified through you. Just let Him perfect those things concerning you. It's not even about us, it's about what God wants to do through us. Never let your past or anyone define or dictate who they think you should be. People will try to confine you to a box of what they see you as externally. Don't let them, don't let them. And yes, with God on your side, a great support system, confidence in who God says that you are, the purpose that God has qualified you for and has called you to fulfill, and all of life's obstacles, you can still make a powerful difference as you Choose Not To Abort Destiny!"
On August 23, 2008 , Valisha was honored at the Annual SisterSpeak Luncheon, which was held in Charlotte, North Carolina. She among five other African American Women were named the 2008 North Carolina Unsung Heros by Ebony Magazine, Pine-Sol, The Clorox Corporation and Johnson Publishing Company. The award was given to salute African American women who are making a powerful difference in their communities. She amongst others, is featured in the "Subscribers Only" January 2009 Barack Obama Collectors Edition of the EBONY Magazine.
Valisha is a strong advocate for not only families and youth, but all those who would dare to believe in themselves and their dreams. Let's say she's a natural motivator and she has a story or two to share of what God can do, has done and is doing in the midst of anything. She understands that from the least to the greatest of these, everyone can make a difference. Never discounting that life can happen to the best of the best, but she states, " Don't let life get the best of you. Have faith, stay focused and keep it moving. With these things in place and a sure foundation, there are no limits only real possibilities." "God will prove Himself Faithful."
She currently holds the honor of being president and founder of the ministry. Birthed from struggles and choosing not to abort her destiny, Valisha acknowledges that now is the time for the saints to push forth and birth that which was planted in them from the beginning of time. Men, women and children alike, young and old, God has a purpose for each of us to fulfill. We need God's assurance and the assistance from our network of divinely assigned beings to propel us towards our destinations. She believes that if God said it, then so shall it be.
She is a living example that your persistence, determination, a positive attitude and passion and compassion will have its reward in due season: Keep Striving... "Just don't give up" A couple of her favorite quotes come straight from the bible, " Your gifts will make room for you and place you before great men." Proverbs 18:16. when you “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that in due time He may exalt you.”(AMP) I Peter 5:6
She believes in utilizing the gifts and the talents that she has been graciously given, not to exalt herself, but to glorify God. To much is given, much is required. Valisha understands that change is inevitable and when you're aiming to make another person's life better, God will make that happen for you!
Valisha enjoys smiling, reading, listening, writing, speaking, singing, and just being creative. She loves encountering everyday people with extraordinary lives. She loves laughter, having lots of fun and spending time with those who matter most to her. Above all else, she's outrageously passionate and in love with the Lord and his heart for wholeness as He connects, We arise and Birth Forth Destinies to fulfill His Purpose!
"Just Keep Loving, Keep Lifting and Keep Moving."
