"NOT WITHOUT MY FATHER"
(Just a glance)

Born to her mother and father, raised by her widowed mother, nurtured and surrounded by “the village”, Valisha shares her life and choices without a Father/Daddy and goes forth in her Kingdomness with the saying “Not without My Father” as one theme of her testimony,or  as some may call it, inspiration.   Her father committed suicide while she was two and half years of age  and she has lived all of her life without him, while all along longing to know him and what life would be like, if only there was a father present. She is the youngest child of seven and was the only one who never really knew her father. Her heart’s cry was for a father to tell her who she really was. She often refers to the scriptural text Romans 8:15 of how God Himself “Abba Father” has taken her up in the Spirit of Adoption, not only because the bible says so, or as a cliché, but because she has lived the life of what God through His Word, says He will do in this. God revealed what a Father should resemble.

Valisha was brought up by her widowed mother, who took on the role and attempted to fill the shoes of being both mother and father in her life; to provide what she could to the family. Valisha saw the struggles and felt the pressure and results in this and wanted to have her own way of helping to provide. She felt the need to assist in some way. To endeavor to provide a resolution and to relieve some burdens from her mother, she launched out into the workforce at a young age while trying to care for herself and find a better way to live and survive and to obtain the love and affirmation that she was searching for in a “Father Figure”. This eventually  led her to leaning towards men and sex as her main source of support, love and affirmation. After hearing all the “hype” about the temporary conveniences and insincere promises of what they would be able to offer her, as what then seemed to be an escape from her current surroundings; as she searched for a “father figure”, she has realized that it is God Himself that yields agape love and no other source.

The rape, the emotional abuse, the crisis, the homelessness, being misunderstood, the poor choices, bad relationships, Rejection, the men, the sex, the manipulation, the BREAKDOWN, the Hurt, the fear, and FAITH have all been factors that have drawn her closer to God as never before. Oh yeah, can’t forget to tell you about the Psych Ward. This was clearly the enemies’ tricks to destroy her, distract her, scatter and consume her mind and to kill off for good the pieces that God had already put together. Satan saw Valisha’s potential and attempted to deter her. The Deceiver of all Lies will use anyone to deter the authentic blessing. But when The Lord God Most High Arrives, there's no stopping. Yes, He is  THE SOVEREIGN GOD and because of relationship and intimate worship with God along with sure foundation that was in her,  is the only reason why the schemes didn’t work and they won’t ever work! That’s what brought Valisha as well as others through who were there as well. Yeah, the weapon did form, but it did not prosper and won't ever. God hid her under the shadow of HIS wings. And now satan and his camp are mad as hell. She quotes, “You can take me from the stage, but you can’t steal my worship and praise.”  She is so alive, still standing and going stronger for the Lord than ever before. God has been the deliverer and Grace that has covered and will continue to be her divine protection. She quotes, “I’ve been concealed by His Glory. My glow, the gifts and anointing didn’t  come from always being happy, comfortable or spoiled, but from process and me being fulfilled and filled by God. It wasn’t always handed to me although FAVOR works in just that way.  Now don’t you dare get it twisted this time, I needed people too. I still do need ‘the correct people’, but God fills me and He always provides for me.”

She understands the mindset of many young people, specifically in lower income families, but really in any income bracket when they say, ‘I want a job, I’m tired of asking my mom/parents for things and hearing no because they have to take care of more important needs.’ She quotes, “We, as adults have to use caution when we hear this being said around us, and find a way to sacrifice and meet the need and not just through another program of hyptnotizing or involuntarily influencing behind the scenes.” She understands why some students act out; not out of stupidity or ignorance or just to get attention, but because they have no positive male or female figure to model, that’s not trying to take advantage of them in some way. She can relate to the student who is excited about starting college and on the first day they are already behind because they can’t afford books and supplies they need in order to get a jump start and be successful. She understands getting accepted into the college of choice and not being able to pay to stay and/or return, even if it’s an error on both ends. She can relate to being a child amongst many talented children in the family and being overshadowed, while searching for an identity. She can relate to the person who leaves the doctor’s office speechless, in shock, in pain and afraid to share with others: only to discover, after several consultations and spending all that you have, that it was a misdiagnosis so says the doctors, but  the TRUTH is Healing Manifested and, let's just say that God is Jehova Rapha: The God who HEALS!

After internally posing the question in many of her male relationships; “Are you my daddy, my lover,  my friend, or my cover”; Today she does not accept any old thing, she will not accept phony relationships, she does not accept defeat and she has a pet peeve for lazy men and people. She quotes, “Somebody’s got to work, everybody wants to be in the spotlight, but nobody wants to get dirty. There are no excuses! So what are you doing?  Are you working or waiting without movement? If you’re not moving, don’t come my way to be a leech unless you are moving with me! I don’t need no prospects, I need your FAITH. I’ve got work to do! As a word of Caution to : Matthew 22:44The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?  Be careful in how you handle the pure and those that God have called to do great work and or what you view as the least of these. When there's a work to do, God will use anyone that He so desires. And I've got work to do!"

God has been very gracious in the restoration process, while birthing, building and restoring several ministries, endeavors, and meaningful relationships through her, which include U.N.I.T.Y. of NC Inc. and Kingdom Woman Ministries Inc. She uses her “real life” first hand, feel, felt and found experiences to encourage and edify others as well as other various tools and resources. She never promises to have or to know the right way, the perfect  way or the best way, but she is always willing to share her life and what she has to make a positive difference in somebody’s life in one way or another. She quotes “No I don’t deserve it, but God chose me, because He loves me. No more church as usual for me, no more complacent or showy worship, no more...just another song or sermon because we like it or just because it feels good or sounds good, no more relationships just because I don't want to be alone...no more showy programs without true impact, If God is not there, you probably won’t find me there unless I’m led otherwise.” The Lord Most High God, definitely has a sense of humor, but never mistake a person's kindness, appearance, color or race as a weakness. She is living a life of restoration and replenishment as she states, “I move forward in humility, BOLDNESS and a radical edge!”...I  have reflected on Samuel 30:8;19. ‘Without fail I will recover all...’ “People sometimes fail you and let you down, but The Lord Most High God NEVER fails and He DOESN'T give up on you. This is not everybody’s story but it is mine, and this why I"m allowed a SHINE and I’m Choosing not to Abort Destiny: that is My Purpose, Dreams and Visions, MY REALITY. But Not without my Father!”- He is the Lord God Most High!
